Tamu Homes is fully committed to meet the needs of the young individuals entrusted to our care. We highly value collaboration and work closely with professionals and organisations to ensure that the well-being of our service users is always our topmost concern. Our main objective is to provide a comprehensive approach to support individuals in our care, with the aim of addressing the inequalities that some may encounter within the care system as a result of discrimination, racism, and negative stereotypes associated with disabilities, which unfortunately continue to affect many young people in care today.
Tamu Homes Partnership
Tamu Homes works in partnership with Social Workers, families, and therapeutic services to empower the individuals under our care to reach their full potential. During their stay, we assist them in developing their social skills through group living experiences and active involvement in community activities, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging them to take ownership of their experiences.

Tamu Homes Services:
Tamu Homes is specifically for young people, where the following services are offered:
- All staff are either trained or achieving recognised national training awards in Health and Social Care.
- Maintaining boundaries of Tamu Homes / respecting the local community
- Therapeutic support and counselling by a qualified behavioural therapist
- Direct access to translation services for those needing support with English language
- Providing regular monitoring and evaluation reports against the targets and outcomes set.
- Key work sessions / one to one discussion’s readily linked back to care planning targets and outcomes
- Semi-independence Training
Accommodation:
Our main focus is to create a secure environment where service users can learn, enhance their skills, and acquire the knowledge needed to transition successfully to independent living.
Therapeutic Support:
We offer therapeutic support and counselling from qualified behavioural therapists who are committed to helping individuals overcome challenges and develop coping strategies.
Community Integration:
One of our key objectives is to help individuals understand the importance of living harmoniously within the community and become active, positive contributors to society.
Independence Training:
At Tamu Homes, we support individuals until they are prepared to live independently and confidently take care of themselves, providing guidance and training to foster their independence.
24-Hour Care and Support:
Our dedicated staff team provides round-the-clock care at Tamu Homes, ensuring a secure, safe, and well-maintained environment for our residents.
Education, Training, and Employment:
We prioritize supporting our residents in maintaining their education or employment commitments, making every effort to help them continue their educational journey or succeed in the workplace.
